We were pleased to see a letter published in the Bournemouth Echo on 17th January from South East Dorset Green Party member Soo Chapman, headed “Decarbonise Power Sector” which reads as follows:
Tobias Ellwood MP (Echo, January 4) calls for a formal review by the Environment Agency on insufficient warnings of imminent floods.
Perhaps he and his colleagues could call for a speedy decarbonisation of our power sector. His party are failing to act coherently on the robust science of catastrophic climate change. LibDem MP Annette Brooke was the only local MP to vote for decarbonisation in the Energy Bill last June.
