Members who represented South East Dorset Green Party as candidates and election agents during the recent election held a meeting to discuss their campaign strategies for the next election in four years time. This will be held on the same day as the European Elections.
Discussion revealed our strengths and weaknesses, and a need to start everything in good time. A thank you leaflet has already been prepared for delivery in Winton East, where we gained our first local councillor, Simon Bull.
We will be attending many local events during the summer, and hope to engage with many members of the public, explaining our policies and distributing leaflets.
Events planned for this month include running stalls at Winton Carnival on Saturday 27th June (Winton Recreation Ground), and at the Dorset Vegan Fair on Sunday 28th June (Bournemouth Pavilion).
Our MEP Molly Scott Cato will be speaking on the subject of "How Green Policies could transform the South West" at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth on the afternoon of Thursday 23rd July.
A team has been set up to liaise with the national conference team to assist with the organisation of the Green Party National Autumn Conference which is being held at Bournemouth Internation Centre in September.
