Simon Bull becomes Interim Chair of the Association of Green Councillors

Councillor Simon BullCouncillor Simon Bull has stepped up to serve as Chair of the Association of Green Councillors (AGC), the network of around 600 elected Green Party Councillors from every level of local government in England and Wales.

Cllr Bull has served as a councillor for Winton East since first being elected to Bournemouth Borough Council in 2015, on which he served a period as Leader of the Opposition. He was returned to the new Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole (BCP) Council in May 2019 with Bournemouth's biggest majority percentage. As a member of the Unity Alliance - BCP being one of 17 local authorities where Greens are part of the ruling administration - Simon is currently Chair of BCP Council's Planning Committee.

Simon, previously the AGC's Vice-Chair says: "Following the resignation of the Chair, I have taken on the Chair's role on an interim basis. I look forward to continuing the good work of liaising with different groups within the Green Party of England & Wales, and the national Climate & Ecological Emergency Officer, to help promote, support and link up the work of Green councillors nationwide."
