Graffiti cleared from dual carriageway underpasses, as Alasdair Keddie and Sara Armstrong monitor cleanliness

Green Councillors Alasdair Keddie (Queen’s Park & Charminster) and Sara Armstrong (East Cliff & Springbourne) met with the BCP Graffiti Team as they were cleaning the underpass between their wards, by BH Live and Holdenhurst Road.

Alasdair commented: “This underpass is regularly used by our residents as they go to school, work or the gym. We receive frequent reports that the graffiti makes people feel unsafe.”

The graffiti team cleaned all of the underpasses between that location and Westbourne, including under St Paul’s roundabout (ASDA), Richmond Hill roundabout and Surrey Road.

Sara said: “I’ve joined forces with Alasdair Keddie working collaboratively across our two wards to tackle fly-tipping and graffiti as part of our commitment to cleaner, greener and safer streets.

“The recent removal of the graffiti and a good spring clean has given the place a lift.”

Alasdair added: “We hope to keep on top of this but need residents to report graffiti incidents as they happen.”
