Cleaner, safer school runs sought in queen’s park

Councillor Alasdair Keddie met with the Headteacher of Park School – an independent school situated in the heart of Queen’s Park. As with most schools in the area, there are issues around school run congestion, parking and noise.

Alasdair and Mrs Dowler had a solutionsfocused conversation covering:

•Creating a Community Engagement Officer role to improve relations with local residents.

•Developing a Travel Plan to set out the school’s policies on travel and parking.

•Exploring ways to increase the number of pupils cycling, scooting and walking to school.
