Since the election, Councillor Sara Armstrong has been working tirelessly to establish whether money from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) can be used to improve the environment of Knyveton Gardens. She was delighted to hear that her application for £50,000 has now been successful.

BCP Council’s Green Group plans to bring a motion supporting calls for a ceasefire and instructing the council to be ready to offer support for those displaced and affected by the events taking place. The motion, which reflects the group's dedication to fostering understanding, support, and unity in times of conflict, is aimed at promoting peace and empathy in the wake of the ongoing conflict in Israel and Palestine.

In a unanimous decision, BCP Council has passed a motion proposed by Green Councillor Sara Armstrong, aimed at addressing the pressing issue of knife crime in our communities. The motion was seconded by Moordown Green Councillor Joe Salmon, one of several new Green councillors who joined the council this May.

Sara Armstrong became the sixth BCP Green councillor today, and East Cliff & Springbourne's first, with a resounding win in the BCP Council by-election. Sara's majority was 203 votes over the Conservative candidate, with Labour dropping to third place.

Hard-working Councillor Alasdair Keddie (Queen's Park & Charminster) joined Councillor Chris Rigby (Winton East) at the Community Harmony And Respect Meeting (CHARM) at Bournemouth University (BU). CHARM aims to improve relationships between BU students and our permanent resident communities, with a focus on minimising anti-social behaviour and environmental health issues.
